Hi,
I'm from Melbourne Australia.
Having been running classic since June 04.
With all the talk of upgrading, thought it was time to move to the future of the Seti project.
I am married with 3 children and am employed as a Manager in Transport Logistics
Have become involved with computers over the last year and found Seti whilst helping my 2nd son with his 5th grade class project.
Stopped SETI classic in FEB 04 when their was a major meltdown on classic and Boinc, but glad to say I'm back.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why SETI:- I run Seti to help with the exploration.
My Views:- We have to sort through the data to know what we are looking for.
How we get there is another story
Suggestions:-The project team at Seti should approach all suppliers of operating systems and offer a free start up disk with every operating system sold/given.
The end purchaser will decide if they want to install or not.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
