Personal background
hello, I'm Rob and I'm living in the Netherlands. Since 1981 I'm a radio amateur and active on the VHF and UHF band with Weak Signal Operations like Earth-Moon-Earth or meteor scatter communication.

My last experiment is the reception of the NAVSPASUR lake kickapoo Radar system in the netherlands on regular bases. Distance=8354 Kilometer. The radar works on 216,980Mhz in the VHF band.

In al the weak signal experiments my computer helps me to get the signals out of the noise. Some 15 years ago these technics could not been done by home amateurs.
Modern DSP analyse brings your computer closer to the antenna and opens a new area in radio communications.

This is why I'm interested and participating in the seti project.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Sure, there must be some signal in the NOISE. Search and find........
