2004: I'm a 42-year-old retired journalist - now a stay at home mum. In the (neverending) process of owner building the dream home ... I reckon I'll move in about the same time the kids leave home!!
I like the Myst games, but don't have the computing power to run the latest games. And therefore my SETI stats will always be low - the Classic version averaged over 100hours per unit. But I try.
2007: I've got a new computer and have just reloaded SETI, after having to give up on it - my old machine just couldn't do the work.
Still haven't got the house finished!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI for fun. If we ever do find ETI it will be a big buzz. There's got to be something out there other than us, it's just too staggering to think we're the only planet with intelligent life on it.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
