Profile: birhead of arkansas

Personal background
I live in a very small rural community in Southwest Arkansas. I am 40 yrs old, married for 21 yrs, and have a wonderful wife, daughter. I am physically disabled after being hurt by a patient when I was a registered nurse in a hospital emergency room during June of 2000. It was because of this I was forced to stop using the Seti program after a short time of starting back with the classic version. I even got to struggle through the beginnings of BOINC, but was force to retire my computer for awhile until I could physically and mentally get back on-line. I have two degrees that I feel are not wasted; although I cannot work in the related fields. I use my BA in pychology and BS in Nursing daily just interacting with family and friends. It is my love of science that brought me to Seti, and the belief that somewhere out there is another culture waiting to make contact. I feel in myself an honor to donate the use of my computer to further science, and the search for other being within the many settngs of "space".
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run Seti because it is a way I can contribute to science and mankind. I can no longer hope to contribute physically, but through the WEB and Boinc I am able to help in something that would take years to break down the data without individual computer users like me. My personal views of the project; is a method of using technology and science together to try and answer the question of, "are we alone?". I have no suggestions at this time, but commend all of the people who have worked to hard to make BOINC what it is today.
