I was born in Dublin, Ireland, in the fresh Spring of 1972. My family immigrated here to Australia in '73, but we all still think fondly of Ireland. I have a B.A. (dropped out of Hons after I had completed the first draft of my thesis), am a published writer (see esp. www dot independencejones dot com) and am casually employed as a 'Legal Clerical Assistant', as on my tax return, which also encompasses my role as a Bookkeeper.
I have always been good at science at school, but chose to follow in the footsteps of Stephen R Donaldson, whose 'Chronicles of Thomas Covenant' (which books had a very profound effect upon me, literally touching Magick) made me want to similarly inspire in others access to higher dimensions through simply well chosen words.
Anyway.
My experience with the SETI team/users has been top-knotch and has inspired me to try out some other BOINC Projects.

| I run SETI to use my computers well, and to have the ancient question of ET answered one way or the other. Personally, I believe in ET, and rely on humility and the assumption that, over large scales, one part of the Universe is as much the same as another. |
