Profile: Damon Hill

Personal background
Mid-fiftyish batchelor in the Seattle/PNW area who used to be an electronics technician and would like to be so employed again. (That's a hint!) Takes
his professional frustrations out on electronic hobbies. Some photography.
Hi-fi nut of the DIY persuation. Likes cats better than dogs. Fascinated
with railroad technology and history. SO is a charming redhead from Florida
who liked the PNW enough to move up here. Partial to mermaids. Apolitical.

Born in Georgia and lived there until 1993, after his career went away;
moved to the glorious Pacific Northwest mostly for the scenery.

Misses Georgia only to the extent he can't get good Southern BBQ with fries,
and chili dogs at the Varsity.

Since he can't drive a railroad locomotive, he hopes to someday own his
own diesel-electric hybrid automobile/truck/bicycle.

Does not drive nor has ever been near a Formula One vehicle. Has claimed
alt.damonhill for his own.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI@home burns up ample spare CPU cycles for a good cause: proving that
humans are probably the only sentient species in the universe interested
in interstellar ICQ chat.

Wishes the software was hand-coded and optimized for AMD processors, even
the K6-3 and K6-2.
