Profile: Rob Morgan

Personal background
I have two degrees, one in Computer Studies, the other in Psychology. I play in a band called 'Ludwig's Dream' and we have 3 albums commerically available. We play a fusion of Classical, Blues and Rock. I am working on transcribing a number of classical pieces into a blues, rock and jazz themese.
I have been performing Kyokoshinkai karate for 14 years, in which time I have won a number of national medals and trophies, in full and semi-contact competitions. This has also attracted me to interests including meditation, and alternative therapies. It also helps with discipline, focus of energy and a Friday night at the pub.
I bought a home in Iceland many years ago, learn't the language, and have stayed there for a number of years. The climate, people and conditions (especially for outdoor sports) is second to none, arguably the 2nd best place on the planet...... Wales being the 1st of course. I have also travelled to Norway, Finland, the Himalaya's, Japan, and Denmark.....in fact, all over the world.

I'm a lucky fella !
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I cannot believe that life does not exist somewhere. I hope we dont make any rash assumptions as to how these sentinets are formed or their values and beliefs.
I do believe that we should welcome any friendly sentients, but should definitely warm them about the French.

Being part of such an importany project as this only helps us all learn about ourselves and each other, to be better prepared for a meeting and co-existence with our cousins wherever they are.
