Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It is great to compete with your friends to see whose machine is doing what in the statistics page.

I have been interested in astronomy and computers since a very young age so therefore SETI compliments these two nicely. I own a telescope and sometimes look into the wonders of space and wonder if there is life out there. I therefore am very happy to do my bit helping to search for it and believe it would be the biggest story ever to make contact with another civilisation in some form or other. After all, we have landed machines and passed other planets with our technology so why can't others? With more planets being discovered and our ways of detecting them increases, I believe one day, we will make that vital contact.

My suggestion is to put banners on your website to point at the SETI page (eg. my page, www.basildon.tv has a link at the bottom to join our team) to spread the word. Now it is BOINC, it has a fresh look. By the way, I like the lovely new 3D screensaver!
