I am a 34 year old Electrical Engineer currently employed in systems administration in NE Oklahoma. I am on Team Moon and I have been a member of Seti since it's beginnings (under several ID's unfortunatly) and I really enjoy being a part of such a ground breaking project.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that it's very probable that there is extraterresterial life but discovering and contacting that life may a good ways off. Seti is the first bold start! I would hold off on speculation on a reply transmittal until every effort has been made to decipher any recieved message we may find. My main reason for running Seti@Home is that it's never been done and I am very excited about the future of distributed processing. What Seti@Home has achieved so far in this area is incredible.
