Personal background
Hi -

My name is D and many people think I am a dog.  They are
right.  I am a cairn terrier.  I
still think that Seti rocks!   I am an athlete and a scholar and I excel at chasing squirrels and begging for food.  Got any?  I especially like whatever YOU are eating.  Yum!  Got Chocolate????   Huh??  Got any???  Go to

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Of course extraterrestrial life exists! It is so narcissistic to think that in the unimaginable vastness of the universe that earth is the only place where life came to be. Will we ever encounter it? Tne universe is vast. Even when we can bend space and time there is still a lot of space to cover. But we must look. Of course we could stick our heads in the ground and suffocate in our own grandiosity. Of course, as a cairn terrier, I stick my head in the ground a lot, but that is to pursue critters. Intellectually my mind is always looking for something new to explore - something outside of the "box", something outside of my own experience of my world. Running Seti is a bit of my search. It would really be so neat to find some other intelligent life. I wonder if THEY have chocolate...
