Profile: species 207

Personal background
I have lived my entire life in the state of Maine. I worked in management most of my life including 3 successful businesses of my own. My interest are travel, HO train modeling, photography, reading and writing. I love to solve seemingly insolvable problems.
I had experimental open heart surgery in 1951, when I was 11 years old. It was successful and I am still kicking. It's been a great life and every day since 1951 has been a gift.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
9One summer night in 1952 when I was about 12 years old, I was sleeping outside. Something woke me up and I looked into the night sky, I noticed 3 or 4 saucer type craft in the sky directly above us. They were yellowish and appeared about the size of a quarter held at arms length. I went into the house and got my mother, she and my sister also witnessed these craft. She in turn went next door and got my grandfather. After witnessing these craft for a few minutes, he went into his house and got a loaded shotgun. We watched these craft as they flew around, doing impossible maneuvers for about 45 minutes. Do I believe in aliens, you bet.
9I have kept a very open mind my entire life but have never seen a repeat performance of that summer night.
9No lessor civilization has ever survived the intrusion of a superior civilization. Although I am a confirmed optimist, I feel that any civilization capable of contacting us would be a grave threat to all of human kind.
