I am a 49 year old Systems Analyst married with an 18 year old daughter. I heard about seti@home through a science programme on TV about 2 years ago but at that time was only running a 486 laptop with internet access. My daughter recently persuaded me to take her and her boyfriend (both registered with seti) to the opening of the National Space Centre in Leicester which rekindled my interest.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
This is a mammoth task and the concept of using spare home computer processing power to analyse the data is brilliant.
