Profile: Galileonerd

Personal background
I am a 33 year old computer analyst, divorced with three children from Silver Spring Maryland. I love science, art, and computers. I attend the gym four times a week. I play tennis with my daughter(she is eight) and also, enjoy playing chess. My dream has always been to become an Austronaut and to be the first to get out of our galaxy and explore beyond. My personal heroes are: Albert Einstein,Galileo, Isaac Newton, and Leonardo DaVinci. My quest for knowledge is never ending...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have been facinated about the Universe since I started to read Albert Einstein's books on Theory of Relativity. I began to understand more and more about the universe. Took me a while, but I was able to learn diferent areas of science, such as: Astronomy, Astrophysics, Biology, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
I no longer question the fact that there could be life in other parts of the Universe. We are the product of several elements in the universe, why couldnt be a similar product elsewhere?
