Personal background
I'm just another engineer just like the rest of us...and I enjoy photography too...my temporary website is http://www.geocities.com/reypiks . Loving RC gliders, music(band and audiophilia), pc games and a desire to own a Porsche 911GT...my simple, boring and insignificant life...addressed on my lonely 2 cents.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
First ask yourself about "empty space" itself...we, as in all humans must notice it, that we are living inside an infinite(?) sized(pitch dark)box...this "empty space" is as old as the Universe or even older - it is a piece of an ancient evidence that we can't touch or see with the current means of our technology - yet, we pass through it every day and night cause we live "inside" it, not knowing that one of the answers to our existence is just right under our noses - it's everywhere! The "empty space" on our living rooms, halls or anything that is empty in between 2 solid matters here on Earth(with the exception of air) is the same "empty space" that occupies/exists on Mars or that galaxy that is billions of light years away from us - because we "live on the same box"... do you know what I meant by that? Of course it is familiar territory with those learned scholars who deal in these realm, but for the general public who are uninitiated on this topics are left scratching their heads and must be wondering that we(the ones who are interested) are on "la la land"...I guess these are the same league of individuals who doesn't know or fail to notice that we humans live and stand on a massive rock(earth) floating in the middle of nowhere(space/void).

Are we alone? Frankly, I rely mostly on scientists' reliable research and their opinions to answer this age-old question. But based on my primitive intuition, I guess there are multiple universes out there(similar to those sketches found on those genuine and exotic crop circles where the biggest circle(center) is the main universe(oldest) and the smaller circles surrounding it might be one of ours). Perhaps, those so-called "alien abductions" are signs that 'ET' was making "random sampling tests" on humans whatever their objectives are. Or perhaps those "UFOs" were 'ET probes' designed to determine whether we humans are still hostile or ready to be part of the Utopian phrase "United Worlds/Universes". Crazy isn't it?
