Profile: TauSigma

Personal background
My nick is TauSigma and I am a 1975 born german. Generation X is my motto and I try to make things better. I am working for an international dealer for hifi and household electronics where I am responsible for the network and all computers (most Intel-based PCs and some Macs).

My hobbies are sports (european indoor handball) and computer gaming in a private LAN with my friends. Most of the time I try to rest and enjoy the few sunny days we have here.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
"[...]The mainstream press ignores them. Some don't see the sport they play as a worthwhile pastime at all. Almost no one thinks people could or should make a living at it. Their clans have funny names, and almost no one outside the clans knows how the game works. Just watching it for fun is unimaginable.

Today's professional Quake players? No. Baseball players in 1855.[...]"

I hope some day there will be some kind of contact and that then people will realize how much this project is worth of supporting it. I am just using two computers to support SETI@Home, but I am doing it because I believe it will be worth it some day :)

And when there will be some sort of contact I hope that it will be a peaceful one, or else... (actually there will be "no else")
