Personal background
I am a eighteen-year-old french student, living in Paris.

Hobbies? what is that??? I am not a Lord of the Rings fan! Err... ah oki, understood : ..I like video games (obvious, isn'it?), I enjoy reading and I love sciences, I mean that I've been interested in learning anything I could find (and understand) about sciences, especially astronomics, for years.
That makes so much time...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I can't have my own opinion about ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence, because our search brings contradictions : in the one hand, it seems obvious that ETI exists because of the size of the universe (visible & invisible); in the other hand , how can we report the fact that since we have started to search (not so long, after all!), we have found nothing and have not been spotted?

2. Of course humans should! but not with their present background, i.e. the world i which we live in, with all its misery and its wonders. The information to be sent should come from a unity of all the peoples of the Earth : Arecibo's transmission was quite simple and it is a good thing, but how much people on Earth look like those from the Voyagers sign?

3. I don't think that I run Seti@home for my success in discovering who I am or something like that. I don't intend to find ETI either (strange thought...). I do think that I bring my help in order to make the research go faster : in my opinion, my contribution is more to prove that there is nothing where I scan with my computer, than to prove that there is something.
