Personal background |
Dog is my co-pilot!
I live north of San Francisco and have had several careers throughout my life, most recently as a paralegal for a mortgage banking corporation.
My interests include music (Ludwig van Beethoven, Jean Sibelius, Mike Oldfield), the San Francisco Peregrines (Santa Cruz Predatory Bird Research Group), films by Akira Kurosawa and Yasujiro Ozu, and Keela, my 12-1/2 year-old Golden Retriever (Homeward Bound).
I was introduced to astronomy via a field trip to the Griffith Observatory, probably in the 2nd or 3rd grade. The wonder of the planetarium and exhibits, and the smell of the place linger still, after all these years.
Every day on the planet is a gift, ladies and gentlemen. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I was introduced to astronomy via a field trip to the Griffith Observatory in the early 1960s. The wonder of the planetarium and exhibits, and the smell of the place linger still, after all these years.
I run SETI@home because it is a way I can contribute meaningfully to astronomy, and am grateful to have the opportunity to be part of this diverse and dedicated community.
Someday a signal will turn up. |
