I am located in Cloudcroft, NM - about 20 miles N of Sunspot,NM and near the Nasa Orbita Debris Observatory.
It is high (9000 feet is high for NM) in the mountains and in the middle of a forest of Douglas Firs.
I teach a few on-line courses of Astronomy and Physics for Southern Christian University in AL ( about 1500 miles away).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
No I doubt there is anyone out here that we can hear. I like to think we are the most advanced civilization in the universe and we better get it right.
Nature is talking in a whisper, and we should listen. Who knows what we may find if we all use a little of our idle computer time. If I were an extraterrestrial I would make it hard and only want to talk to those with patience and who could work with “global†cooperation.
