| I am a Computer Teacher for k-8 grade, I am also a student. I have an AAS degree in computer Technology, and am currently enrolled for my BSIT degree. I love to help out in any way I can for this great cause, and am excited to be a part of it. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Life has to exist out there, I mean space is far too big of a place to say that life cannot exist out there. Who knows what level of intelligence it may be, or what form it may have, but I am sure there is some form of life in that great new world of discovery we call space.
I really have no clue as to when, where or how we will discover anything from space, but it sure seems exciting.
The benifits could be amazing (new technology, new look on life, ect), but they could also be counter productive, I mean what if we decided that earth orbit must become a huge military shield with weapons aimed tword space. That would seem hostile to other planets and civilizations. I do hope that I make first contact though! sorry to everyone else...but that would really make me happy. |
