Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because I think sharing my idle computer time with others is a great idea. This project is the most heavily advertised one where a person can share processing time with others to create a "supercomputer".
The idea of extraterrestrial life just makes complete sense. The local galaxy is too huge not to contain other life besides that which is found on earth.
Extraterrestrial intelligence is another kettle of fish entirely.
Who knows?
