1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?
Yes, I think extraterrestrial life exists, although there are a lot of places out there that they might be hiding! I imagine that SETI@home will find something and allow us to better communicate and understand life on something other than Earth, someday.
2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?
I'm pretty sure we generate enough RF off the earth and satellites at this point for just about anything to find us!
