Personal background
My name is Chris, I am currently procrastinating from doing homework. I'm an anthropology student at Humboldt State University, hoping to get into forensics and or general physical anthropology in grad school... I enjoy playing around with computers, and making music / art...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. ET life has to exist, look at how large the universe is. We will discover some eventually, even if it is in the form of small microbes... The possible benefits are learning more about who we are and where we fit in the grand scheme of things...

2. There is already enough stuff being sent out into space, it's pretty redundant to send anymore.

3. It would be pretty rad to find ET life. I have a linux puter acting as a router that sits idle most of the day, why not harness the cpu power for something somewhat usefull, it makes me feel better about wasting electricity...
