I am a 30 year old Psychiatry Resident in the Barros Luco Trudeau Hospital Complex, Santiago de Chile. I enjoy astronomy, acapella music, chess, and traditional chinese medicine as my primary hobbies. I am proficient in english, spanish (my mother-tongue), afrikaans, and have notions in french and german, specially for technical and leisure reading. I am also studying mandarin-chinese.
I am going through my first year of Psychiatry residence, but have done a previous residence already, namely family medicine.
I enjoy time with my 3 month-old son, Diego, and my 2 year-old daughter, Florencia, together with my wife Soledad. Somehow I consider myself as an introvert who has extroverted as a resilience strategy, and this actual psychiatry residence has benn useful for exploring and discovering my soul. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I certainly believe extraterrestrial life should exist. Outter-life will not necesarily be similar to our lifeforms, nor must we expect to make first contact OURSELVES (if we continue at the pace we are going now, there is a chance in the future there will not be a human race or a world for that matter that aliens can contact!). The best we can do is LISTEN to the space, search. That is why I support Seti@thome, because I believe the work SETI does WILL render its dividends in a not-so-distant future.
Anyone can colaborate with Setiathome, and that is what makes it so wonderful: is like creating one enormous unity among all us users, in pursuit of one common belief: that we are not alone. |
