I'm a college student at ISU. Some friends got me involved in this since my computer wasn't doing anything useful when I was in class. I am majoring in Management Information Systems. I enjoying hanging out with my friends going to movies and playing some Halo 2 every now and then.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
As I said above, a friend got me interested because my computer wasn't doing anything and this seemed like a decent cause. I had heard of this before and as I was at home on a dialup, didn't every have a good enough connection to download and keep it running on its own. Since I was at school with a fast connection, I figured I would download it and give it a try.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
