Personal background
Hello. My name is Rasmus Othar Kirketerp. I works as a programmer i the biggest bank in Denmark. I am working in the department of real estate. I was born in the year of our lord 1975 ;-) Im not a religios man, because i can get my self convenced to belive that story (the bible). I believe only in facts that i, my self, can understand or relate to.

I have always been interested in our solar system, how it looks and why and how it all started....
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
In 2001 I saw an TV program about searching for intelligent life outside our known "world". And thoughts ran through my head, asking questions like "are we alone" - "is there inteligent life outthere"? "how do we define inteligent life", "do we consider ourselves intelligent?" and so on...and of cause "are we alone"...This is the main reson that i joined SETI.

What i think about this projekt? well there can be only two kind of outcome, eiter we dont find some(present state, huh) or we find some one/ting...if mankind dont listen(or look) then we can never say that we tried. In fact i thinks this is the most importens issue. That we try!!

My suggestion to this great projekt is to somehow use many more FLOPS around the world...Think about if all PC where running SETI@home!! Try to get into some major firms - convince them to join SETI by saying that they can use it to commercialize the firm by saying "we care about other things than ourselves" or something like that...I dont know...

If you have a way to approach this issue please mail me :-) I work at a very large firm here in Denmark, i think we aprox. 15.000 PC that just waiting for something to do :-) But i dont know how to ask for permission to install BOINC on my own PC at work...And the other 14.999 PC as well!!
