Personal background
Takis (short for Panagiotis) was born in Thessaloniki, back in 1964, but was
brought up and still lives in Athens. He is an electrical engineer since 1988
and got a PhD in the same field in 1998. He is working with European Dynamics
as a web consultant.

Takis is married to Giota Daniil a kindergarden teacher. They have two
children, Thanassis (born in 1998) and Myrto (born in 2000). They
live in Brahami in the southern part of Athens.

The golden rule for Takis is something that, although self-evident, seems
very rare in our age; "Pan metron ariston" as was initially recorded 2500
years ago... In English you could translate it into something like common
sense, or, modesty.

Hobbies include Lego, AD&D, simming, diving and many more; it would be nice
if he had the time to spend on these...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI is maybe one of the most inspired uses of the internet. I believe that
some sort of life should be someplace out there; as I once read in a book, it
is too selfish to consider that the whole universe was created to host life
on a single planet of a single sun of a single galaxy. The question if it
is possible to find evidence of such life is a different story. If we don't
get rid of the limitations that Einstein put to us, I don't think it is
probable to find something soon...

Concerning sending a beacon: yes, we sould send something that shows that intelligence exists on Earth. But include the coordinates of Venus, so we get prepared in case of an unfriendly visit :-)
