Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I do not believe there's life anywhere near our system, at least as we know it, but, as it was mentioned in the movie Contact... There is an incredibly big space out there and it will be a awful waist if we are the only ones occupying it. If there's a benefit in finding life beside ours, a lot of questions would be answered but, a million more will be created.

A possible danger could be the carrying of germs and bacteria that could create havoc among us, beside possible missunderstanding in the case we find intelligent life.

2. I think we must send a beacon for others to find and this must transmit basic information like sounds, images, numbers, etc. without revealing too much untill further contact.

3. I really would love to be the lucky one to pick up "The Signal" that will put me on the books. About the project, I have no comment at the moment but I really would like to suggest to build in the client program, options to view more information than the one shown in the screensaver version and please, Update the different statistical pages more often.
