| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I do beleive e.t. life exists on other planets. We would be ignorant to think that humans were the only intelligent life in the entire galaxy. What I don't know is how advanced other civilizations might be.
Should we ever expect to contact other civilizations we must be transmitting 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I don't think it matters what we send so long as it is obviously intelligent. The simpler the better, but intelligent. Most of the things I have discovered in my life have been by chance, the key is in paying attention. The SETI@home project is a brilliant use of resources, not only in computing power but in bringing more people to the job of watching. |
