Profile: Mike Shivvers

Personal background
How to describe myself....I\\\\\\'m one of the most open and down to earth people you\\\\\\'ll ever meet. I will talk about anything, though sometimes I can ramble on if I get on a topic which really interests me, or is one of my \\\\\\'soapbox\\\\\\' topics. I think political correctness is a curse on society. People should lighten up about what offends them and speak their minds. I love the water and the outdoors. I\\\\\\'m a commecial diver by trade and spend a lot of time in and around the water. I\\\\\\'ve worked in several different career fields, I\\\\\\'ve been in broadcasting and over the years have hosted a weekly blues show. It\\\\\\'s something I\\\\\\'d enjoy doing again, as a hobby though. I\\\\\\'ve had my own retail business of sports and music memorabilia, did it online for awhile, finally settled on what I\\\\\\'m doing now. Politically I decide issue by issue. I would probably be classified as fiscally conservative, and somewhat socially liberal. I feel common sense is missing in a lot of public policy. If you want to know how I feel on something, just ask. I do have a warped sense of humor, and am an avid South Park fan. Naturally I grew up a Sci-Fi fan because of the limitless possinilities it shows us. I truelly believe in the vastness of the universe that we cannot be the only intelligent life, and if this project can bring us one step closer to that realization, it\\\\\\'s well worth the effort.
