Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Sagan wrote something to the effect of, "Seems like an awful waste of space."

I don't know when or how.

We have been transmitting a beacon ever since the 30's... Television has been broadcast for quite some time. Whether or not we should set up a beacon just fo for the sake of trying to reach someone, yes, I think it would be a good idea - privately funded though.

I use SETI@home because I'm the one that's going to find the grays! ;-) Seriously, I want to give the project some free CPU cycles since I'm not using them. Why not? I think it's a good use for them.
