Personal background
Hi, I am from India and am an animator by profession. I love sci fi movies and am a dedicated fan of Star Wars, Star Trek, Matrix, Lord of the Rings Trilogy and such stuff.

I make weird sci fi jokes and come up with ideas like a p2p cellfone network, where all of us would not need to depend on any cellfone operator (We will need awesome battery power however).

I also enjoy playing with peoples photographs...like putting a light saber in hands of people or placing them in strange environments like in the middle of a battle scene in gladiator etc. Thanks to Photoshop.

I hope my PC does find some alien signal. :)

Favorite Quote: Conformity is the last resort of the unimaginative.
Favorite Quote2: I am not God....I am an animator.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think ET life exists. I cant think why it should not exist. Life as seen on earth is probably not an accident. It might just be a stage in the life of a star as it breaks up and its broken parts cool down and certain parts at a certain distance develop various forms of life.
If we do discover ET, we might have some conflicts initially but later on its going to be business as usual..once politicians take over ;).
What excites me is that... if we find another civilisation out there we on earth are going to look upon ourselves as one humanity, instead of the fragmented approach we have right now. That would be so awesome.
Yes, I do think humans should transmit a beacon, which just gives our position.
I run SETI@HOME because its a project which is done out of sheer passion. The passion to find out whether anybody is out there. And also because I did not like the way financial support to it was withdrawn.

A nice warm hi to fellow SETIzens :)
