Personal background
G'day all, I'm a 32 year old High school Design and Technology teacher in Perth West Australia. My hobbies include amature astronomy,14/15 century music, and Power dinghy racing on white water.

I have been a home user of seti since it's inception. And was proud to be one of the first people in Australia to download the seti program.

Athough many Aussies have now processed much more seti data than I have, I still look forward to maybe processing "That signal"!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extra terestrial Life "absolutley"

We will discover it once our technology progresses to a point when we are able to better understand the true relationships between Time,Space, and Gravity.
I see us as being in a similar situation as we were 300 odd years ago where the relationship between magnets and electric charge was not well understood.

Benefits of contact: I think it will bring the human race closer together. The understanding that we are one family and that we must look after our beautiful water world home.

Danger of contact: Conflict due to lack of understanding of culture and language form. Hey, we can't even communicate with Dolfins, let alone ET.

Sub-light beacon transmission would be a waste of time.
"relativity issues E=mc2"

I think the Seti project is excellent and I'm proud to be part of it.

I run seti because you never know, ET may just say hello!

Live Long and Prosper.
