Personal background
I'm someone who's always had an interest for stars & astronomy and stuff like that, I do prefer looking at pretty piccies of stars/constellations and stuff, and not exactly think it might be fun to do all that math and stuff to calculate the facts behind them but gladly leave that to puters and just watch the pretty graphs.. ;)

I like sci-fi/fantasy stuff, writing, drawing, doodling with gothy/fantasy/medieval inspired clothes.. oh and zebras of course too, such cuuute animals :)

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Fascinating thought, life on other planets, would be rather cruel if we were truly alone, but the universe itself seems filled with these kinds of 'accidents', always something formed from the death of something else..
One way to find out though, unless they're smart enough to stay away from us..
Although a B5 ep comes to my mind, where they encountered a probe that had lots of scientific questionst they had to find the right answers to so it'd send them back to where it came from, and according to the message it had brought with it, *not* blow them all up.. but they decided to answer some questions wrong, and indeedy, they did not blow up after all.. *grins*

The current info beacons, have seemed very logic and thought through, but always the risk of stepping on someone's toes or scaring other possible life forms.. it is very evident just on our tiny earth how stupid some peeps can act due to mostly religious or other profound beliefs..

I've heard about this project before, the thought was already then intriguing and made me want to be a part of this project but wasn't 'til recently I got a puter that can handle the requirements of this all, oh and of course a 24/7 internet connection.. although I usually do turn my puter off for the night..
It'd be very exciting to be 'a part' of any possible results that might be of further investigationing interst, but considering how vast the Universe is.. might take us some while.. after all, peeps did not know much about the micro cosmos some hundreds of years back.. and macro cosmos, they're pretty much linked together in the whole picture..
