Profile: Rick Marriner

Personal background
I graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point in 1996. I worked in the Maritime Industry for a number of years and recently made the move to the oil/energy industry since my commitment date passed. I started the SETI project analysis on one machine. However, now I have a number of machines working on the figures.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think that ET life exists. I doubt that we will discover it in my lifetime. I do not see an immediate danger as everything is so vary far away from earth. From a philosophical point of view, ET life is compatible with my God view and do not see the rational argument for discovery of ET life as jeopardizing my religion.
