| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| The concepts' pretty cool. I do think there is intelligent alien life out there. I think the danger is we're not smart enough to handle an encounter with an alien species. We're too wrapped up in our own little fiefdoms to do anything meaningful with such a discovery. As far as transmitting a beacon, we've been blasting out radio pollution into space since we've had the ability to do so. Why make a concerted effort now. I run the seti client cause it's cool and I do want to help out. It's better than some of the other clients out there. |
