| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I believe seti@home has captured the imagination of most people in what I believe to be one of the greatest explorations of space. Life in the universe could not just have developed here (in its multiple past and current forms)given the opportunity for life on the various planets now being discovered.I'm certain programs like seti will discover indications of life elsewhere however with current space technology we would find it difficult to grasp the benefits of this find. I thus hope "they" are friendly and can find us in my/our lifetime, if we have confidence that we will not end up being slave labour or cattle for a more advanced race then we should agree to set off a beacon for them to find us.
I run seti@home to be part of the pioneering of space, I believe the porogram is running well however I would like to receive more information on progress my own and overall.
