A SETI Cruncher From Way Back... Sorta way back anyway, Early 2000...
I'm a 40-something small business owner (digital workflow consulting) in West-Central IL. USA
I fell in love with SETI about 17+ years ago, when I had a horrible addiction to buying old computers at garage sales and trying to turn them into Frankenstein crunching machines... Aahhhh, the good old days of trying to run Win98 on a old Pentium designed for 3.1! (Where the hell was my interest in Unix back then I ask you?) I remember some of those old boxes taking 72 hours or more to burn through a WU... no wonder it took so long to bring my classic SETI per/day average up!
