I am from Almere in The Netherlands and am married to my wonderful wife, Tanja. We have two great kids Cathy (13) and Liam (11).
Presently I work for an international marine surveying company as director / surveyor. Before this career I was chief officer in the Merchant Navy, specialised in heavy lifts.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I am convinced that extraterrestrial life exists but that aliens are far more advanced than we are and that they are observing us until we reach a certain, much higher, stage of civilisation.
Given the evidence regarding aliens: the pyramids in both Egypt and South America, Stonehenge, etc., I am of the opinion that, as written by Erich von Daniken, aliens have visited us in the past and helped or even instigated our rise from the premordial slime.
I run SETI@home because I have hope that other civilisations can help us clear up our mess and save our planet from the enviromental disaster we are presently creating. |
