Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?
I first began running Setiathome after I saw a friend using it as his screensaver. I thought that it was pretty nifty, and being the competitive person I am, began to complete data units at a great rate of knots, just to beat my friend! Since then, I now just enjoy the fact that I am doing my part to search for extraterrestrial life.
I believe the project is a great way to use the worlds computer resources to compute the trillion-trillions of computational data, into something that can be used to possibly discover foreign life. I hope that one day we do discover it! Some how, I think that we will probably colonised Mars first.
