Hi! My name is Dick Zelvelder and I live in the Netherlands.
I have lots of hobbies, as I simply can not choose between them. In random order, I like to play Dungeons & Dragons (a role-playing game with magic and dragons), I am also fond of archery (in fact, I studied to be an official archery trainer), I also like genealogy (to dive into old records to search for ancestors with the name Zelvelder, or somehow related to them).
Last but definitely not least I like to contribute to the SETI project

I am convinced that there is life out there. But, will we find it and what will it be like?
The universe is so big that I think it will take decades before we can find other life and even after we encountered other life forms it will probably take forever to make real contact as the distance will be immense.
On the other hand: When we encounter other life forms, everyone on this planet will contribute to the real encounter with this life forms and when all people on this tiny planet work together, we will find a way! |
