Personal background
i am more of a radio nerd than a computer nerd and i am not sure wether or not thats a good thing or not. I have been into astronomy since the the apollo misions, even before the moon landing. I became involved in radio about the time of the moon landing in 1969 and have progressed from there, now i am a Amatuer radio operator NØZOA and involved in it quite a bit, and enjoy the (Internet Radio Linking Project) IRLP on 2 meters and sometimes when i am bored with both the internet and the radio i turn on my SETI@home screensaver for entertainment
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think that extra terestrial life exists in some form or another because what are the odds of all the vastness of spoace that we are the only lifeform and i mean all kinds of life form not only humanoid. I think they should transmit a becon signal into space because there might be someone out there that might hear it although TV and all other kinds of radio signals do the same. I run seti@home because i figure that if my computer is going to use energy to be on it may as well do something useful, and besides i think SETI@home is about the only functional screensaver around isn't it? I think SET@home should play the sound of the signals as well as the graphics on the signals
