| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Do I believe in extraterrestrial life? Absolutely. I think that there is just too much "stuff" out there for us to be the only ones. However, I doubt that in the forseeable future, humans will make such a discovery. Contact with extraterrestrial intelligence will most likely come from them reaching out to us.
Should we broadcast a beacon? I think we're doing that every second of every day, and our TV and Radio tells both the good and bad about us.
Why do I run SETI@Home? To be honest it's to get myself as far up the rankings as possible compared to other people I know. That I might help the project is a benefit to my competitive nature |
