Personal background
I am 47 years old, married, and live in East Malling, Kent. UK. I am disabled. I was disabled by an accident at work, by a fool that could not put a handbrake on, on the forklift he was driving. I have a wife and 3 boys. (I say boys, they are more young men, now.) I was an HGV driver but cannot do that any more. I re-trained to be a computer technician. I enjoy photography, electronics, computers and computing. I am starting to learn to play an electric guitar, I re-built. I volunteer for our local Library, where I teach people how to use a computer.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do I run SETI@home? Well, that's a good question........ I suppose it's because it is something scientific, to do with space and is trying to find other life forms out there somewhere. I think, in the long run, I hope that one of us will get the signal, that suggested or proved there is life out there, after all.

I think it is a, well worth while project, that should continue. The odds are, that there is some form of being out there in another galaxy. After all this one formed and evolved life in it. Even though we are intent on kill our selves and ending all life on earth, but at least it is life!

My suggestions are, keep looking for other life forms and stop trying to kill our selves, try to save the earth and all get along together, before it is too late. If not, it will end in total destruction of this world as we know it and the roaches will be the only survivors!
