Well, as with everyone there is a huge story to tell.
However, I will brief it and say that I work in Australia, love computers, software, OS's etc and ride Motorcycles.
I truely hope that we find something out there. I have devoted several home PC's to the search and encourage others to do the same.

I think that it would be an aweful waste of space if we were alone.
Yep I think we should transmit to out there, can't hurt.
I run Seti@home to make a difference. Just as I will pick up litter in the street, and help a hungry person with my last dollar, I would hope that I can help us to find other life forms that would have to be more developed. We have wasted our time here on earth, and have polluted it with non-botanical life and corruption.
The greed for oil in this world says everything. We could have nearly pure sources of fuel if we could only use less. Whilst there are super powers this will not happen. I am hoping that the geeks, and I must admit I fit the role, will prevail.
It is not wealth and greed that are TRUE power, it is information. this will be our weapon on those that belittle and oppress the needy through a complete lack of compassion and a complete arogance. If you still don't understand, you may never know that the world represented by these "power" nations is so unrealistic it would scare you should you ever see the poverty first hand. I have and it has changed me.
We can not throw a lifeboat to our own planet, it is already destined to be misguided in its use. History has shown this. Examples continue everyday.
We need to find another place to live. NOT COLONIZE !!!!, but work with, if they are timid enough to accept us. We, the geeks would respect this and that is why we look, not govnmt funded, or enterprise driven but PEOPLE driven, all day every day from our homes.
Please help the cause for it is you we seek to enlighten and maybe even save.
