I am a computer programmer at heart (most recently with Java, C and Lotus Notes), though recently started climbing the management ladder and am enjoying it. Other major interests include swimming, tennis and in-line skating ('rollerblading').

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I find it very unlikely that of all the planets in all the solar systems in all the galaxies in the known universe, that ours is the only one that supports life. I do, however, comprehend how it could be for but a fleeting moment in Earth's history. SETI is one group approaching the task of searching for extraterrestrial life in a methodical manner, and SETI@home gives me the chance to contribute in some small way to this effort.
