Personal background
I am a single male, aged 41, living in Wanganui, North Island of New zealand. I am self-employed, working from home in Network Marketing. My hobbies are socialising, walking, lawn bowls, and solving puzzles. I have a vision impairment, which means I am restricted in some things I do, but do not let this intrude on my endeavours. I have always had a fascination for the stars and what is out there. I feel as a human on a planet that is only a speck in the cosmos, that there must be some form of life out there somewhere. I am a keen Sci-fi person. I joined Seti@home to help with their research, and hope someday we will find something out there.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I do thing there is some form of life out there, but when and how I am not sure. But I would like to think that Seti@home will find it first. As for the possible benefits and dangers of this discovery are bountiful. It would give us a better understanding of the universe and all of hte complexities that we may not know of yet. As for the dangers, I am not sure what these could be. I think we need to find out with discovery, as that is the way humans work, or I work.

2. I think it would be a good idea to transmit a beacon, as others who find it would be able to understand our civilisation, and out makeup. The information should contain the diversity of earth, some history, pictures, audio, and visual aspects of the earth and its inhabitanta, both human and animals.

3. I run Seti@home because I believe in what they are trying to achieve. So my views on the project are all positive. I do not have any suggestions, only for more people to get involved into the project and this can only help to boost hte chances of success for Seti@home.
