Profile: Kerry Chase

Personal background
Retired. Amateur expert. Expert amateur. I spent my life working as a Registered Nurse in Trauma, A&P mechanic (Aviation) and Project Developer for Native South Americans. I enjoy Amateur Radio (KB4KDL--see www.QRZ.com), photography, computers, art (drawing and painting), aquaculture (fish/tanks), linguistics, writing, astronomy (I own several telescopes), flying (private pilot), and just about anything else in which one can become an amateur!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run seti@home because I would like to be a part in the search for extraterrestrial intelligences. I don't really think we'll find them on radio frequencies, though. By now, they will have learned how to communicate using particles of field propagation on a scale we don't yet understand (see Dr. Thomas Van-Flandern, Dark Matter, Missing Planets & New Comets--RIP). But who knows? At least my computers are put to good use.
