Personal background
I´m a 42 year old Brazilian High School Chemistry teacher, living in Rio de Janeiro. I´m Also an amateur astronomer since 1980. Computers, Astronomy and Astrophisics are my hobbies. Also like drag racing. Search for Extra-Terrestrial on SETI is another cool thing I´m enjoying a lot.
I use a Dual Pentium II, 512 MB RAM, 350 MHz each processor and a Pentium IV 2.4 GHz, 1 GB RAM running SETI@home 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Our galaxy has, at least, 100,000,000,000 stars. Why should the Sun be the unique star to support a planet with life?

I´m sure that, in a near future, we will find signals from another civilization. It´s just a matter of time. SETI Program is the easiest way to find those civilizations.

Can you imagine the benefits a knowledge exchange like that could bring to us?
SETI@home, as a pioneer program should be tryied by everyone with a computer and an Internet connection.

Maybe with that we can, in a near future, "Bodly go where no man has gone before"!
