Personal background |
They say that an infinate number of monkeys will eventually reproduce the works of Shakespeare... well it only took this one wolf to tap a few keys and start Seti.
It only runs occasionally, hence my dismal totals, I'm normally too busy snuffling or hunting for live food.
I run it on an iMac, and be credited with finding the first worthwhile use of one of Apple's oddest creations.
My own machine is a 1700XP, and dedicates its life to finding lost Wolf_Snax by scanning wavebands for scents. Maybe. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
1. Ohh sure, we'd be monumtially niaeve to beleive we're alone. It maybe that other life is way too far away to notice my arm waving at night though.
2. Trasmit a beacon? Yeah why not. How about "Here we are, invade now whilst our planet's still worth pillaging!"
Or maybe, "This is a planetary SOS, Bill Gates is invading our world, please resuce us from this accursed menace."
3. Why do I run it? Why do I play the lottery? I'm an optimist. And bad speller |
