Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
How did you find out about SETI@home?

I found out about SETI@home from an article on the internet. Joined up with the Art Bell group then found that there was a Styx group, so I moved over to it.

Why do you run SETI@home?

I run SETI@home because it's an easy way to help possibly find more evidence of extra-terrestrial life.

...And to quote a Styx song from The Grand Illusion:

"Sometimes I feel like a man in the wilderness

I'm a lonely soldier lost at sea

Drifting with the tide

Never quite knowing why

Sometimes it makes no sense at all"

-Tommy Shaw (Styx 1977 -Man In The Wilderness)

Thoughts about ETI:

I have no doubts that there are "others" out there and possibly right here with us.

My hope is...well, to quote another Styx song:

"I thought that they were angels, but come to my surprise

They climbed aboard their starship and headed for the skies

Singing come sail away, come sail away

Come sail away with me

Come sail away, come sail away

Come sail away with me"

-Dennis DeYoung (Styx 1977 -Come Sail Away)
